Thinking Hollywood celebrities only dwell in Hollywood?

A video of a young lady who resembles Hollywood actress Selena Gomez has recently gone viral on social media back home.

She was later identified by netizens as Gerhicke Carcueva, a 17-year-old Filipina-Swiss who resides in Lilo-an, Cebu.

According to media reports, Carcueva chose to dance with the town of Ginatilan, which is her mom’s hometown. Her Swiss father has already passed away, the report said.

After learning that her photo has gone viral on social media, Carcueva said she is flattered, although she had already heard these comments before.

She reportedly said that she is overwhelmed with the response because now her social media accounts are flooded with well-wishers and friend requests.

Carcueva is now busy preparing for the Sinulog Grand Parade this Sunday where she will still be joining the Tribu Ginatilan as the lead dancer alongside her mother Gemma Carcueva, said the news portal.

She reportedly plans to finish senior high school before chasing her dream of becoming a model.

Carcueva has already received various inquiries from talent scouts but she said she wants to prioritize her studies. However, she is also open to any opportunity that comes up, reported ABS-CBN News.
