ABU DHABI: Expect cloudy days and some rains this week in the United Arab Emirates as it enters an unstable weather phase amid a slow rise in temperature.
Residents saw a cloudy Monday and some rains in some parts of the UAE since Sunday.
The National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said that’s because the temperature tends to rise at this time with strong winds that will blow dust or sand over open land.
For Tuesday and Wednesday, the NCMS said “the weather will be unstable in general and where the cloud amount will increase over different parts over UAE especially the northern and the eastern areas with a chance of rainfall over these areas.”
Moderate to strong winds will continue hovering over the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman, it added.
It cautioned the public to take precautionary measures when going to the deep sea in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. Drivers should take care while driving during rain.
“Sea will be rough to very rough in Arabian Gulf and rough over Oman Sea. The relative humidity will increase over coast and internal areas,” NCMS said in its weather forecast report.
As a result of a trough surface system from the southwest that affects the country, a cloud will be formed and will move over the Arabic Gulf, it added. The clouds that developed are moving in to coastal areas toward Al Ain.
