How dogs can make you penniless in Dubai

by

Dogs are considered man’s best friend. But if not properly taken care of, they can also leave you penniless.

If you’re in Dubai, having a constant look at your pet is surely a must.

For instance, allowing your dog to poop on the streets will cost you Dh400.

If an owner does not make sure his dog is doing no harm to neighbors and their property, a fine of Dh5,000 should be payed.

If you have the habit of feeding stray dogs out of your extreme compassion, you will be charged of a fine amounting to Dh1,000.

You should also put a mask on you pet or pay Dh200 which can be doubled to Dh400 if you repeat the offense.

Registering and vaccinating your dog should also be observed.

If you are fond of a particular breed of dog, better not keep if Dubai prohibits citizens to keep such breed. Otherwise, the pet will be confiscated by the government.

Using dogs for pet fights is strictly prohibited and can lead to their confiscation.

The Dubai Municipality has provided these rules to ensure both the safety of the dogs, their owners, and the community.
